CORA ESTHER MORGAN (Desjardin) It is with sadness we announce the passing of Cora Esther Morgan on Monday, July 16, 2007. Cora was born to James and Jennie Desjardin on October 6, 1916. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son David (Alexis) of Winnipeg, and daughter Pat (Daryl) of Calgary, grandchildren, Jeff (Asheley), Tara, Danielle, Paul, Tannis (Chad), Ryan (Tiffiny), and six great-grandchildren, Alec, Emma, Cassidy, Shaye, Kieran and Jordan. She also leaves behind her dear sister Beryl (Frank) Wilson of Pilot Mound, sister-in-law Dot Desjardin of Dauphin and brother-in-law Lewis Morgan of Sheffield, England, along with many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered but sadly missed. We love you Mom. Cora was predeceased by her husband W. S. Bill Morgan of 54 years, along with three sisters and four brothers. Cora and Bill met during the Second World War, were married in Ottawa and later moved to Winnipeg. They developed many lifelong friendships with whom they shared dancing, golf, parties and life's experiences. Cora worked for the VON in an administrative role for many years. She loved big band music, family gatherings and close friends. She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed having fun at whatever she did. Life was simple. The door to their home was always open, especially to nieces and nephews starting out in life and occasionally needing a Sunday dinner to remind them of home! She was a great source of encouragement. To honour her memory, we invite you to Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway No. 1 East and Navin Road, on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Dress comfortably and join us to celebrate her life.
